Self-Directed Search (SDS) is a tool for Career Planning and Assessment. It has been used by over 20 million people and has been supported by over 500 research studies.SDS was developed by Dr. John Holland, whose theory of careers is the basis for most of the career inventories used today.
His theory states that most people can be loosely categorized into six types: Realistic, Investigative, Artistic, Social, Enterprising, and Conventional.
A SDS report can help you to understand more about yourself and how your individual skills and interests can be related to your career choice.Taking the Self-Directed Search will help you identify and then explore the careers you are most likely to find satisfying based upon your interests and skills. Your SDS report will also give you recommendations about how to proceed through your career development and decision-making process, although it should be noted that you should consider your SDS results in combination with other sources of career information (such as our career guidance counselling).
Charges
$250 per consultation, including a comprehensive report as well as career guidance counselling. Each session would take about 1 to 1½ hours. |
